Pressure:trade with South Korea must be a two-way street
 
The Bush Administration has a responsibility to negotiate a two-way trading street with South Korea. While South Korea continues to enjoy wide-open access to our automobile market, the United States faces tall barriers to South Korea's automobile market. This agreement will face strong opposition in Congress if these barriers are not torn down

Agriculture and auto trade will be among the toughest issues in US-Korea free-trade agreement (FTA) negotiations, according to the lead US negotiator.

No high-Level meeting planned to resolve US-Korea Fta issues
 
High-level meeting has been suggested earlier to solve the key issues that may bolck the Fta progress ,however ,Bae Jong-ha, head of agriculture-sector negotiations, said speculation about an imminent "big deal" to iron out sticking points could not be confirmed, and hinted that such a deal will probably not take place until the seventh free trade agreement (FTA) talks planned for Feb. 11-14 in Washington.
